Laura Bronstone
Owner/Program Director

   Laura Bronstone is the Owner and Program Director of My Playground. She is a USA Gymnastics Instructor Member, USAG Safety Certified, a USAG Certified KAT (Kinder Accreditation for Teachers) Instructor and has completed the USAG Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development Preschool Teacher Education Workshop.

   Laura is a gymnastics teacher, advanced ballet instructor, choreographer, professional dancer, certified aerobics instructor and personal trainer.

   Laura is a member of the National Association for Sports and Physical Education; American Association for Active Lifestyles and Fitness; and American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

   Laura is an advocate for physical exercise and is the mother of two children.

   Tina Cook is an amazing parent-child teacher for First Moves, Little Leapers and Doodlebugs classes. Tina has taught preschool at the Truckee-Tahoe Recreation Park District for several years and has her Early Childhood Education Certificate and a Masters degree in Communications from San Jose State University. Tina grew up in Saratoga, CA and worked in high-tech marketing for 10 years. In 2004, after becoming an apprenticed Pilates instructor (The Pilates Center, Boulder, CO), she created The Pilates Zone in Menlo Park, CA. Three years later, Tina sold her company and moved to Truckee with her husband and two young sons. As a former competitive triathlete, Tina continues to stay active. Tina says "I love fitness and children, My Playground is a perfect fit for me!".

   Todd Tanis is a gifted and delightful teacher for our Beginning Gymnastics and Gymnastics Level 1-2 classes. Todd has been a boys gymnastics coach for over 12 years in Truckee, Chico and Mt. Shasta and coached both recreational and boys competitive teams through USA Gymnastics Level 6. Todd is also an alpine ski coach on the Sugar Bowl Ski Team, a musician, performing artist and instructor in piano and voice. Todd enjoys teaching children of all ages.

Lindy Miller is a talented and gifted teacher for our Beginning Gymnastics, Level 1-2, and Level 3-5 gymnastics classes. She grew up in the gym - her mom owned a successful gymnastics facility in Northern California. Lindy was a competitive gymnast and then began teaching in 2004. Lindy graduated graduated from UNR with a degree in Anthropology and Health Ecology. Lindy also teaches children’s recreational programs, preschools and after school care programs here in Truckee and truly enjoys working with children.
